Tulum- unlike any other place I’ve ever visited… the Caribbean side of Mexico- with white sandy beaches as cushy as flour and water so turquoise it’s nothing short of a postcard worthy photo – where the jungle meets the sea and the palm trees have this peculiar bend. To describe it, if I can say for a moment I thought I had entered Never Land, surrounded by Peter Pan’s lost boys, than I wouldn’t be lying. Maybe a hipster’s paradise is more likely to convey the image, or a free spirited hippie haven? Whatever it is it was fascinating in a mysterious, whimsical way.

Our room: perfectly situated overlooking the ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves was nothing more than bliss. Our boutique hotel was perfect; and the food, amazing. From sizzling in the sun, exploring the Mayan ruins, swimming in the breathtaking caves called cenotes to bike rides, mescal and candlelit dinners, it was nothing short of fun, venturous, relaxing. It was sound.

What started off as seaweed insanity turned into quite an unforgettable experience.

Cue seaweed season.

Thank you Charlie for taking the snazzy pics of me 😉
